Sometimes, the children will have done some fundraising for the branch and we will go to the school to accept the cheque and talk to the children about what we do. We also do talks with groups such as brownies and scouts.
If you belong to a group and would like us to come and talk to the children, please get in touch as educating the children is the way forward for animal welfare.
- Pelsall Cubs
In February Lucy visited the Cub Scouts in Pelsall. They were an absolutely fantastic bunch of kids and we had some great discussions about what the RSPCA do in Walsall and about pets the boys have and how to care for them.
They are doing a badge called the Community Challange and we hope that our visit helped to contribute to them all passing their challenge!

- The Butts Primary School
We were contacted by staff at The Butts Primary School in Walsall to go along and collect a cheque from the children. Year 6 held a Harvest Fayre where they sold their own toys and goods along with cakes they had made with help from families.
In total they raised a whopping £170 for us in half an hour! Lucy went to the school to thank the children and collect the cheque. Whilst there Lucy talked to the class who had a mountain of questions about animals and the rspca.

- The 21st Walsall Guides
The 21st Walsall Guides did a little project as part of their community badge. They all collected animal food for the animals in the care of the RSPCA at Walsall. Not only did we get cat, kitten and small animal food but we also got toys and bedding too!
Lucy went to receive the goodies and did a talk for the guides too. The girls and their families worked really hard in gathering all the gifts for us and it was lovely to be able to thank them in person.
