Ted

Ted is a gentle, sweet natured 18 month old male greyhound.
Ted arrived in foster care at RSPCA Walsall in September
2011 after his previous owner had trained him to race but
Ted didn’t meet the grade.

Ted has lived his whole life in kennels until coming into
foster care so he is still adjusting to living in a home
environment. He acts like a puppy in the sense that he will
pinch things that don’t belong to him. Ted can be very playful
at times although he is just as happy lounging around enjoying
the quiet life.

Ted does prefer quieter surroundings, so a home with children
aged 14+ would probably suit Ted. Ted does live in a foster
home with teenage children who he gets on with fine, but he
does prefer adult company.

Although Ted appears to get on with dogs of all shapes and
sizes, we feel he would be best suited to a home alone or
with a female dog a similar size to him.

As you can see from the photos, Ted is suffering from bald
Thigh syndrome. This is very common in dark haired
greyhounds and isn’t something that needs treating. This
will not affect Ted in anyway at all, and is simply cosmetic.
